Granite Polish
Had a friend tell me they brought down a type of polish for her granite. Anyone know the name or where I might find something here or in Guad?

Re: Granite Polish
I think you can find granite polish at the "Ace" hardware in Chapala.

Serious?? I thought that worked for zits! How does it do with watermarks around the faucet? That's basically what I'm looking for.

Here's the problem w/googling info. You will get contradicting answers:
Seemingly innocuous substances, such as ketchup and mustard, can damage some stone countertops. This is also true of vinegar, shaving cream, perfume and cologne, polish remover, dishwashing detergent, shampoos and toothpaste. So it's important to clean up any spills immediately, even if you're not sure they will cause damage.

Follow these special instructions for more fragile materials. Avoid placing acidic items such as coffee, tomato sauce, vinegar, lemon oil, or fruit juice on these surfaces and protect them from damage with placemats.
To clean granite countertops: Use dishwashing liquid and a sponge to clean these countertops. You can also try rubbing whitening toothpaste over the surface and then wiping clean with a damp, soft cloth. Never use harsh chemicals, such as ammonia, because this can dull the beautiful surface! Consider resealing your granite countertops every 6 months with a wipe-off penetrating sealer (found at hardware stores or the stone supplier).
