TWO questions
I have one of those telescopic ladders. Unfortunately I left it up and extended for six months and it's now stuck in position. I have tried silicone spray but it's still stuck. WD40 was not recommended. Any ideas?
If nothing else, let this be a warning to others... what goes up should come down immediately after use (no wisecracks).
The other thing I'm looking for is the word to describe those open patterned brick or concrete squares that let the air flow through...about 12 inches by 12 inches. "Celosa" is not getting me anything on Home Depot. I'm obviously spelling it incorrectly or it's the wrong word. Help anyone?

Re: TWO questions
Why was WD40 not recommended?

Because, in the presence of dust or dirt, it would make the problem worse. I'm willing to try it but don't want to regret it. Then again, I've got nothing to lose at this point.

Re: TWO questions
I would hit it with a hose to wash it off, let it dry, then WD40 the hell out of it.

OOOkay! It's up about 12 feet to get to the roof. I thought it would be perfect and space saving but it's surprisingly heavy when down. I'll follow your advice tomorrow and then WD40 on Thursday.
Do you know what those decorative blocks are called?

Re: TWO questions
Would it be possible to heat the individual segments of the ladder? If you can expand the outer segment a little bit perhaps the inner segment will break loose. A heat gun would work well for this but hot water may also work. The heat might also help to sweat the lube into the tube.

Re: TWO questions
Celosia is the right term, also celosia de barro, celosia de concreto. But none yielded results at Home Depot MX. Home Depot's MX site is woefully lacking.
