I did some quick research and....  company in UK, developed "Flourish" software to visually project data. Anyone can use software?  

Therefore, IMO, who knows whether this is accurate or not until one knows who did the 'presentation'.....

Well it's pretty accurate for this moment in time. 1724 deaths in the US in the past 24 hours from the virus.

Scary facts of unknown origin and dubious accuracy. Sure, spread those babies around as fast as possible.

How about the 'other data' that it is being compared against. Did you check it too?

I'm not saying this presentation is bogus.... but I am saying information given without any background should be questioned.... especially in these days and times. Don't we owe it to everyone else to at least do a bit of fact-checking before laying something like this out?

With all due respect, all that link does is provide the Coronavirus data. BUT, it is being compared to/against something(s) else.... that's what makes it so startling.... and we don't know whether that OTHER DATA is accurate. Using valid data against unknown data is an old trick and does not a good presentation make in and of itself.

It's probably OK but I'm not going to bet my (now reduced) net worth that it is.... not even my beer money!

Not only does Covid 19 kill people, it has killed a lot of retired people's savings. The good news is, the stock/bond markets are coming back. I, personally, have regained a little over half of what I lost of my IRA in the last two weeks. It may take awhile, but I am optimistic that we will get our lost retirement savings back.

All we have to do is live long enough.

Many companies will go bankrupt and nothing you can do will recover those.
