How about a propane heater that won't raise your electric bill through the roof?

Using a propane heater, instead of electric, will keep your CFE from going into the dreaded DAC

All I am needing the heater for is beside me in my small living room. Just to take the chill off. 10'x10'space. I am hoping to only use it while we have this cold spell.

Thanks everyone

The Home Store on the third floor of The Gallerias Mall in Guadalajara is having a sale and there are quite a number of electric heaters available... big and small.

Here's one... and scroll down for more...

The sun is supposed to come out tomorrow and it will warm up and you'll be able to put your brand-new heater in the closet for a year.

It may take a while until the interior heats up.
Anyway, I always buy things in the opposite season to when they will be needed because the prices are better and to be sure that I have it when I need it.
BTW, I have an electric "wood burning" stove that I turned on November 1st of last year. It has a thermostat and just goes about its business cycling on and off as needed. For the first time in YEARS, I've been comfortably warm 24/7. Surprisingly, it doesn't use THAT much electricity. I also have a back up propane heater in case the electricity goes out. Fortunately, that didn't happen this year. I would not leave a propane heater on all night though which always made the house cold every morning... and then I had to play catch up.

When I come down next November I will definitely be bringing some more things from home, including an electric heater. My place is very small so it won't have to be a big heater. I just need it for when I am on my computer in the morning and in the evening.
I do have a small duvet that I use for sitting in the living room.

My entire home is about 900 sq feet and the heater keeps it all warm. I also have an electric mattress cover with dual controls. My side is off but the dogs' side is on. They're happy campers.
My windows have no air leaks but I put rolled towels at the bottom of the outside doors. I discarded all the louvered windows because they let the cold air in during the winter and the hot air in during the summer.
