We're certainly living in interesting times. I hope they can pull it off, or at least improve security for the country.
The confrontation in Zamora and pics of the CJNG fleet of cars was unnerving.

They should have sent in the helicopter with the 50 m.m. Gatling gun, shooting 1,000 rounds per minute.

Chillin, that minigun you reference is only 7.62mm, but good idea.

Re: The war on drugs is now the war on crime and corruption
There is a reason there is a revolution here every 100 years, it is the only way to take care of business as the law here is a joke and most threaten / bribe / use connections to evade liability.
Gatling gun no, doubt they'd pay for the ammo, a sniper with a handful of .308 and a good rifle can get the job done from 500-1000 yards even with crappy training. Too many people dont have real jobs and live above their means or what an honest job can support or are being supported by people who dont have a real job. Its kind of disingenuous for so many to complain about crime and corruption when they and their families profit off it and they look the other way.

Corruption becomes part of the salary for those in position to be corrupt. Maybe they could start by tripling the salaries of law enforcement people. Then introduce heavy sentences for those that still are corrupt. Just firing them isn't enough....

The criminals have rights so few get fired they just get transferred. Only people with strong moral fiber or that are dumb will not lie or steal as the examples are set. There is so much money at stake and all levels of government have been infiltrated. We are just seeing the tip of the iceberg with all the mass graves being found and those are the lucky ones where there are bodies and not gooey vats of acid.

The 7.62 cal. minigun, 7,000 rounds per minute, was the baddest boy on the block until General Dynamics came out with the GAU 19B gatling gun cranking out 2,000 50 cal. rounds per minute. Of course the Warthog, built around a 30 mm. cannon, takes the gatling gun cake at 65 rounds per second or 3,900 per minute. Fun fact: Each round cost $136.70 for the regular ammo and of course the armor piercing titanium and other designer rounds are much, much more costly.

Such impressive statistics, but not a word for the toll; such proud accomplishments, yet still children die in American custody. I hope I live long enough to see the US crumble. Too much abject hypocrisy is bad for one's well-being.

I just took the Cd. Victoria-Matamoros for the first time in about 15 years. It used to be my favorite route NOB but since thenarcos took it over I stopped using it. It became deserted with little traffic and felt unsafe driving through there. Well, that has changed. The government now has a very heavy presence there. There are frequent checkpoints and patrol cars going back and forth along the whole route. I will be using that route more frequently now.

True several have died in US custody. They were dying when they got there. They had already caught whatever they had that was fatal. Think how many more died on the journey you didn't hear about. What kind of parent would drag a child on that rapefest journey or send them on their own? Or rent or sale them to make the journey with strangers only to be abandon when they got across or got turned back?

The kind of parent looking for a better life for their family than the life permitted them by the American Imperialist Machine. Watch a little less Fox and read a few more books.
When did ignorance become a symptom of exceptionalism?

Geeser, meant to like your post but fat fingers got in the way. I just hope Itollef lives a record-breaking life span. I find it hard to conceive how miserable he must be. And save it, Itollefs. I won’t respond.

Why is it that I "must be miserable"? When has being aware of the many short-comings of an exceptional society been an impediment to happiness. It is said that ignorance is bliss, but I don't know anyone who'll admit to being that stupid. Do you?
Here, I found for you a fitting quote...
“The fact that a believer is happier than a skeptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one. The happiness of credulity is a cheap and dangerous quality of happiness, and by no means a necessity of life.” -George Bernard Shaw

Here's another famous quote:
Better to sit in silence while others think that maybe you are a little slow, than to start talking and remove all doubt.

Not a quote though, is it? A not-exactly-terse paraphrase, at best. In a world with easy access to the internet, how did you get it wrong? But nonetheless, it's advice you might want to consider for yourself.

Sorry but if you were as well informed as you think you are you would know the USA and Canada have never been imperialist countries. We never took a sontrol of any country to make them pay tribute (taxes to us).
Imperialist countries include but not limited to in the past:
Rome, Great Britain, Portugal, Spain
Perhaps they should do as colonialist nortenos did: stay and fix their own governments.
Even Mexico has several time thrown out bad governments so the countries so of Mexico can as well. Having an unsympathetic government doesn't give you the right to break and enter or remain when caught.
Your answer of "the parent looking for a better life for their family" just doesn't hold water. Many are children sold or rented or sent alone to a strange land. Others are warrior aged and conditioned young men who should stay and fight for better treatment in their own country.
Your BS answer is way foolish as many books as I read and little TV as I watch. Read'em youself!

It bears repeating: Watch a little less Fox and read a few more books. ...and while you're at it, look into the far too common logical fallacy: Tu quoque. Not to mention, shifting the burden.
American Imperialism? Here, let me do the work for you.
And a quick writing tip: Logical Coherence. It's a thing. Try it.

Here is an appropriate quote:
"I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it."
