Spagos closed and sign gone
They have a sign in Spanish closed permanently. TOB said they were caught with the Wolfgang Puck Spago name and they are closed for a month and the new name will be Scallions. Don't know ???

Sounds about right to new. Adding the S to end of Spago and adding Ajijic didn't deter the impending lawsuit........

They are closed for this week only. I was there on Sunday for brunch and read the notice. I don't care what they call themselves, it's GOOD. No Name, Ajijic works just fine. Anyone else remember the No Name Bar in Toronto?

Glad to hear it has gotten good. Early reports said it was dismal which is normal for a brand new business that doesn't have a soft opening for a few weeks.

Did they finally get some flavor into their spaghetti sauce? I tried it twice, and both times it tasted like Chef Boy-ar-dee spaghetti from a can.

I was there for brunch and have not been there for dinner so I cannot comment. The Hollandaise on my eggs benny was a little thick but the eggs were poached to perfection.
Speaking of Hollandaise, has anyone EVER seen the packaged Swiss Knorr Hollandaise here?

Swiss Knorr Hollandaise? You must be salt deficient/deprived. Google "best blender hollandaise". So yummy it's a beverage.

THANK YOU! I had no idea! I very rarely use any salt so I LOL when I read your post. https://toriavey.com/toris-kitchen/julia-childs-easy-blender-hollandaise-sauce/
One thing that I will do, is prep the raw egg in the shell the way I do for my Caesar Salad Dressing. I put the eggs in a bowl with purified water and some Microdyn before cracking. And I wash the chicken poop and feathers off before doing that. Now, lemme see if I can find enough large eggs in a dozen. ;)
Another tip that I got from my stepson is to put Vodka in the water instead of vinegar when poaching the eggs.
Yum!

Vodka is better than vinegar when making pastry dough as well.

Used to use vodka in Sint Maarten to clean windows. It was cheaper than Windex.

Or you could just drink enough of the vodka that you don't care if your windows are clean or not.....lol!

True dat! Bad eyesight really diminishes the need to clean the windows as well.
