Need 3 or 4 goldfish

Will pay the big bucks, and they will live happily ever after in a shallow well about 7' deep. The fish needed are 3 to 5 inches in length, and pedigree is not important. Time is of the essence and we can pick the little darlings up. Thank you.

Why specifically goldfish?

Goldfish are hearty and can breathe surface air, they are the cheapest fish around, they're prolific and the fish of choice for first timers and hobbyist. If you spend the time to select a fish with your favorite colors and pattern you will really appreciate how beautiful they are as they grow. They will eat anything from moss to dog food and they're not too sensitive to water temperature change or water hardness and ph.
With just a little maintenance they can live many years. I'm getting these to eat mosquito larvae before hatching. Goldfish love mosquito larvae and will stuff themselves to the gills, then go back for more.

I'd recommend goldfish for anyone who has standing water near their house. They normally cost about 20 pesos for 10 small ones, they grow fast and there is nothing more effective or natural for eliminating mosquitoes and other water bugs.

Guppies are also prolific mosquito eaters and will thrive in just about anything. Just a thought.

I'd love to have a bunch of guppies but then have to aerate the water, I think.

Thanks for the article ferret. What I'll do now is get both fancy guppies and goldfish. I figure about 3 or 4 of each should be plenty and all the new colors will make an extra fino display.

Watch out oncesubtle! It's a slippery slope. First its Guppies, then its Goldfish, next it'll be Koi and finally you'll be keeping Sharks.

Haha, already slipped on that slope Sun. Thirty five years ago a friend and I had so many aquariums and fish we opened a tropical fish store and named it Off The Deep End. It was a going concern for about 8 years before we got bored moved on.
