Problems at mlsmexico.com
The site is down and looks like the MLS/GIL has yet one more problem as explained on the mlsmexico.com
I read on TOB that their legal battles from a couple of years back are still not over so this sounds like one more log on the fire.

I heard from a Realtor in Ajijic that GIL appealed to a higher court and that GIL won.

Re: Problems at mlsmexico.com
I don't really think the reason the old site is down has anything to do with past legal issues. Comments on the site make mention of a software rights problem. My post was more of "if its not one thing its another" thing. They do seem to have a new site up and for the life of me I can't understand why they would give up such a long standing domain. To go to something that will take time to get traffic too.
Re: Problems at mlsmexico.com
The issue has nothing to do with past legal problems. It has to do with another issues that isn't related to the GIL or any PROFECO or other issues.

It looks like the old MLS site is back up in part. The MLS listings are not there but the rest seems to be pretty much there.

Interesting, they only have a bit over 400 listings.

Re: Problems at mlsmexico.com
The old MLS link is still up with no listings or search. Actually the website is looking a bit different and better than it used to.
Re: Problems at mlsmexico.com
Actually closer to 800 as they are separated into: land (246), residential (491) and commercial (4). I have been told and have always figured that the number of listing on their site represented between 20 and 25% of the total area listings. AMPI is currently showing total listings of all types of 143 properties in their defined "Chapala" area which apparently changes somewhere between Ajijic and Jocotepec. The Jocotepec section which includes San Juan Cosala has 18 properties listed.
