Premium Gas
I've been to Los Sabinos, Ajijic, Interlago and no premium gas. Anyone know of a station in the area that has premium?

Re: Premium Gas
Off topic somewhat, but I wonder how does a consumer tell the difference between Magna and Premium in Mexico other than price? I was going to fill up with premium a few months ago on a trip with a Mexican mechanic friend. When the attendant was filling a container with premium for another customer we noticed the color of the gas was pink which I thought was the color of magna. My friend confirmed that and said at that station it is best to only buy magna since the owner was not providing premium but did charge the higher price for premium if you chose it. He said premium was yellow.

Watched a U-Tube test on the difference between them. It showed 0 difference. Just a wast of Money. But that won't convince some people.

The Pemex at San Juan, just east of Vista del Lago, had premium yesterday.

Best to check your owner's manual as many manufacturers recommend using Regular only.

Really I don't need instruction on what fuel to use. I just want to know where I might find it.

BIG difference if your car specifically requires it. Check your manual.

No damage, other than the wallet, to use premium if specified to use regular, however not applicable the other way around.ohhappyday wrote:Best to check your owner's manual as many manufacturers recommend using Regular only.

Re: Premium Gas
No premium at station in Ajijic centro this afternoon.
(I never bothered with rojo, but friend with exact same car said he switched from verde to rojo and noticed a difference. I haven't ever managed to make a complete change/test yet due to shortage. So, whatever. Car still goes with the cheaper stuff.)
