The Virtual Vacation

I am pretty sure you all are familiar with google Earth and their 'street view' feature?

Well, I just watched on BBC News a story about how they are in the process of mapping the Amazon, and are currently training the local indigenes to film the riverside and the rest of the forest. (rotating camera and a fish-eye lens)
According to the article, it will take some three months to upload and process the video so we will be able to view it on line.
Let's hear it for the Virtual Vacation...

At home we can view our house and street. Our car and truck are parked in front, and Bob is putting on the ski rack. Musta been photographed about three yrs ago, in November. Lizzy

I've gone on virtual vacations on youtube :)) I've seen Budapest, Hungry, & Germany :) Remind us when the Amazon is available and we'll check her out!
