Due to the holiday all alcohol sales are banned in store and restaurants.

I would stock up now

I have heard that only on election day that happens!

Many years ago I flew into Mazatlán on some sort of election (prohibition) day. The pilot announced the horrible news during his landing speech. Well on the cab ride from the airport to the hotel I asked the driver if he knew where we could get some booze. Within minutes we had a trunkful of cerveza and were the most popular guys at the hotel when we arrived...….nothing is prohibited in Mexico!!!

Big article on TOB included the information that alcohol sales depended on the state. Jalisco allows the sales.

The article is posted above. It is two states and a few towns. And it is only for a matter of hours...….nothing to see here.....lol.

Used to be a real hassle with tourists in the Virgin Islands when the booze couldn’t be sold by the drink or bottle.

In Greece you can buy booze when the polls are open, but not once they close.
