FMM payment receipt replacement/stamp for 180 day Tourist form
I need some insight on the above topic please.
I filled out the Forma Migratoria online for my wife and I after numerous attempts (INM site wouldn't connect to Banjercito).
I finally got thru and paid Banjercito, returned to the FMM page, and was able to print the form. INM site says "Once we have confirmed your payment, you can download your Forma Migratoria Multiple here".
The Banjercito site was unresponsive, but I assumed that the printed FMM had some recognition of the payment; Wrong! At the border they insisted on seeing a receipt, and tore up the FMM that we had, and started us over again. Since we needed a TIP, we went to Banjercito and paid the fees. At a roadside checkpoint, the official said that we had 30 days to pay the 533 pesos, and we needed a stamp. After arriving in Ajijic, I confirmed that the payments went thru, and contacted the Gov website. They referred me to INM, and they said they couldn't do anything without the receipt from Banjercito. We contacts ef the this morning, and after an hour on hold while the guy did some checking, they hung up on us. I'd do the online thing again, but fear a duplication of the above. Should we just go to the Chapala INM office? If so, where is that? I've surfer this site and cannot seem to locate the address. Thanks in advance.

The Chapala INM office is on the caraterra (mountainside) just before the main intersection into Chapala.
