If you live or work in Chapala or immediately adjacent communities, please join our Facebook group ChapalaTown. We are rapidly nearing 1,000 members who either live now in the member area or plan to in the near future. About 500 currently live in Chapala area; the rest have plans to move there in the future.

ChapalaTown area includes:

- Chapala
- Chapala Haciendas
- Riberas del Pilar
- Vista del Lago
- Santa Cruz
- San Nicholas de Ibarra
- Ixthualacán

This special group voted to be about the town of Chapala only. We are building a knowledge base about Chapala. ALL QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ARE ABOUT CHAPALA ONLY. You must be able to say “In Chapala “ in your post or in your reply. Thank you.

Out of the 1000 members do you have an idea of how many "do live there" versus "plan to in the future"?

In the group poll, about half said they already live in Chapala, the other half have definite plans.
