Jury awards $289 million in damages after man says he got terminal cancer from Monsanto's Roundup

Wasn't this put in the Chapala lake to remove the lirio?

YES! A few years ago and maybe recently too.

They proved Monsanto to be the lying scumbags that we've always known they were.

Wonder what Bayer is thinking now . . .

They did not “prove” anything. Both sides had studies that contradicted each other. The article says he could not prove Roundup caused his cancer. Monsanto could not prove it did not. The jurors went with the nice man dying of cancer.

True, but proof or no proof, I am thrilled with the verdict! That poor man is a national hero.

I did not read the OP's article but I had watched the live press conference just after the verdict and the judge's reading of the verdict. Woooohoooo! There are something like 8000 more plaintiffs and several more class action suits to go against Monsanto and this has set a precedent.

Good for us and good for the planet - although I'm afraid it might be too little too late.
