Video Doorbell Empty Video Doorbell

Post by Hensley Fri Jul 13, 2018 10:39 am

I need help with something, I got a new video doorbell, and it is the same one a friend of mine got, and she connected hers with no problem and she came over and helped me and we just can't get this thing to connect to my phone, so I got on the Help Chat and asked for help with this and this is what they sent me. I have no idea how to deal with my modem, does anyone know what he is telling me about this?
My Doorbell is a Zmodo.
Sorry but this stuff below is a little over my head!
Oh and my internet is right at 10 most of the time.

Thanks

If so, you will need to make sure that the SSID (WiFi Name) for your 2.4GHz network is different than the SSID for your 5GHz network because our device only support 2.4Ghz currently.
(Here is a further-reading instruction on how to check/change router settings: http://setuprouter.com/)
Tips:
1.please also pay attention to the capital letters in SSID and password.
2.Zmodo device alos requires good internet speed for first configuration, it's better to put it close to router during setup.
3. Settings in the phone will automatically disconnect from ZMD_SAP, ensure that Cellular Data is turned off for iphone/android or Smart Network Switch (only in some android phones)

Please kindly let me know if you need any problem on understanding this requirement.

In case you may need to check or revise the router settings:
1. Find your router's IP address to access Router setting page
2. Type your IP address into your web browser's address bar and provide your router's username and password.
3. Access and change the settings that you need to change.

Besides, your internet service provider might help you on it too.

Why not hire Computer Guy to go over your system and do it?
