Crushed Ice

I want to make some smoothies but my blender cannot handle whole ice cubes.  Where can I buy crushed ice, or a small hand ice crusher?

Probably easier to just buy a new blender. Every blender I have ever owned could handle whole ice cubes.

A strong sack and a small sledge.  Probably the same as it was 40 years ago.

Slainte I think I remember seeing you at the local ice house getting a block of ice to take home to put in the ice box. :)

 Yeah, the "Ice Man" and his wagon didn't come by.  He said later that his horse had foundered and he couldn't make deliveries.
I had a hell of a time finding my ice tongs, pick, and leather apron to go do the job myself.  To make matters worse, I forgot to empty the drain pan and water ran all over the kitchen floor.
Phew!!! What a day, and I won't even go into rest of it.

So here I am.................
