I am flying into terminal 2 in Mexico and have to transfer to West Jet in terminal 1.

2 questions:

1. Do you get the INM paper stamped out in terminal 2 or terminal 1.

2. Where do you catch the shuttle from terminal 2 to terminal 1.

I usually get all the paperwork completed at INM at the GDL terminal and then give the bottom portion to Westjet when you check in at CDMX.

We tried that when we flew through Monterrey with only 1 hour and 5 min layover, and they had a fit. We had to deplane and go back through security to get back on the same plane. When we got to the gate they said we had to get stamped out at the last point of exit which was Monterrey. After pleading since we had no time left, they let us on, but the law says get stamped out the last point of exit, so we need to get stamped out in Mexico City, but I know there is INM in terminal 2, but not sure about terminal 1 or where the INM man is in terminal 1 if there is one.

I did as Cdn Bob and rvanparys, and was told that I should have done in in Guadalajara, but that it was OK this time.

I travelled WestJet/Aeromexico April 1 Guad to Vancouver on a tourist visa. I cleared in Guad. The Guad Mexico City portion was 20 minutes late pushing back. The airline employees were grabbing the onward bound Vancouver/Toronto passengers and escorting them to their onward flights. In my case the plane was parked half way between Terminals 1 & 2. I was last on the shuttle and last on the plane. Very tight. Strong work Aeromexico and a great flight.

I have a friend that just flew to Mex city on Aero Mexico, got on an elevated train over to terminal 1, got stamped out there and went through the security line. Is this what you all have done? Taken the train to terminal 1 to catch West Jet.

Yes you take the train back and forth between terminals. One time the train wasn't working and they had shuttle buses.
