Are you talking about the program guide for channels up to about channel 80?

My digital Telecable channel program guide is still working. The digital channels unlike the outdated analog channels go way above channel 100. For example channel 816 is CNN in HD.

When I first wrote my comment above, I had a program guide. This morning I checked again. And it is no longer there. so yes even the new digital programming no longer has a guide.

This is strange. I will drop by today and find out what there plans are. A while back I heard that they no longer had new receivers for new customers.

I sure hope that this is a temporary situation. Because if not, it is as if they are slowly allowing cable TV to die out. Who knows.

They haven't taken on any new digital subscribers for quite a while now citing a lack of bandwidth. Perhaps that guide sucked up too much bandwidth as well. It seems they aren't prepared to expand or upgrade their system here locally.

When I dropped by this morning, there was an angry Gringo yelling about something, he was talking English and brought a translator with him.

Later, what I was told was that if my digital receiver failed, that they would not be able to replace it and that there was not going to be programming available any more.

I wonder how much longer they will provide TV programming.

You can get TV programming by streaming over the internet or from several sources via satellite. Dish Mexico, Sky Mexico, Dish USA, Shaw Direct CA, oh and I almost forgot DirecTV US.

Remember though, that the satellite signals from other countries are very weak here and not always viewable.
