5.5 earthquake in Colima

A few moments ago. We felt this quite strongly in our hotel here in Barra.

Per FB, was at 8:06. Didn't feel a thing here in SAT.

Felt it for 3-4 seconds in Vallarta at 8:06. Mild rocking, heard the wall make a cracking sound - no damage.

Didn't feel a thing in Lower Riberas either... people in Las Brisas and Jocotepec did feel it.
Yeah, that was a REALLY heavy rain. When you're wearing ear plugs and you can hear it, it's really comin' down.
Trailrunner, just consider it an early warning, before the rainy season, that your roof might need attention. Better now than later.

Not roof, 2 windows. Only when it's a ferocious rain and wind like about once a year. Must have been a hella good storm, sorry I missed it.

Glad that it was 2 windows. Facing east? The rain came slanting from the east a good 4 feet in on my covered front porch that faces east... that's why I'm wondering. Plants loved it.

No damage that I am aware of. The quake was out in the ocean about 20 kms from Manzanillo.

Guests in our Manzanillo condo & the neighbors reported strong shaking but no injuries or damage.
