Heads up!
Watch for a couple of shysters, a Mexican man and woman in their 40's/50's. Both attractive and well dressed, he speaks perfect English, she demurely stands by a load of luggage and whatnot nodding and smiling while he embarks on a long winded tale of travel bullshit accompanied by a request for the woman to clean your house. Bit a of new twist, in my experience, god knows what would happen if you actually let them into your house.
About 3 months ago, they stopped me and hit me up on the dirt road between LF and SAT, I listened, and politely said no thank you and drove off.
Today, I was pulling out of La Cristina and there they were again. He rushed over to begin the same story, I looked at her and she was doing her exasperated smiling and nodding routine, and I said "You hit me up before with this bullshit, get lost!" He mumbled something about not remembering me. . .
Don't let them in your house, they are up to no good.

Re: Heads up!
If that guy had a tear tatoo near his eye, and more elsewhere, then they are the same 2 that have been here on and off for 2 years. Bad news. But they must be making enough off some people here that they stay. Thanks for the heads up. Like I said...bad news.

Re: Heads up!
I saw them many months ago, both times while I was in a car. Once in far west Ajijic (La Crisrtina maybe, at Carretera), and then the very next day in my own neighborhood in upper Ajijic, at a corner. Same drill, same couple, and he didn't remember me either from one day to the next. He does a pretty good job of getting you to stop for a moment in your car, etc. I think I even saw them a third time shortly after that in a different location, but I was on foot with someone else and super quickly dismissed him again so we could move right along.
