Who can certify a document?
I have to get a certified copy of my passport. Who can do that? Does it have to be a Notary?

Re: Who can certify a document?
I would ask whomever requires the certification what they will accept as certification. Notary, lawyer, good friend, etc.

Usually a notary. There are some cases where I, as an attorney can certify documents but only where the specific instructions state an attorney, police officer, notary, or other public or quasi public official can certify

Intercasa: That's very helpful. Thank you. An attorney is acceptable in this case. Do I need to make an appointment? How much will it cost?
