Abandoned Car? Empty Abandoned Car?

Post by ferret Tue Nov 28, 2017 12:49 pm

A Mexican man had car trouble in front of the house next door. He apparently called for help but then left and it has been parked there for a couple of weeks. I understand that he probably doesn't have the funds to fix it but it has created a problem for me since my two point turn to back up into my house has now become a 6 (or more) point turn. I don't want him towed away either. If I speak to the license office about this, will I get him in trouble? All I want is a way to contact him to move the car down beside the vacant lot. It's a VW bug and is easy to push if in neutral (been there, done that, more than a few times. Or any other constructive suggestions would be appreciated.

Is the car unlocked? If so, open it and push it down there. If not, they are quite easy to break into with a coat hanger. Do that, push it down, then relock it.

Car is locked up and the side vents are tightly locked too. And I only have plastic coat hangers and I know you mean the old fashioned metal ones. It made me laugh to see the buttons to lock the doors.... they're little skulls. And that gave me pause. Back to the drawing board.

Get 3 or 4 friends and lift the bug and move it down the street.

Colibri on TOB recognized the car as belonging to their gardener and it will be moved next Tuesday. Another win for social media.
