Wednesday market in Ajijic, Program seller

There is/was a guy there who sold various grey-market programs (MS Office, etc.). He was off the main selling area, to the first right street.

Anyone know if he is still there? I need a Powerpoint 2016 ASAP.

Try LibreOffice Impress. It's FREE and gets very good reviews. It can be downloaded here.

I have Open Office and while it will open my PowerPoint presentations, I really need to stay with the MS/PP, it's a program I have used for 8+ years and with a PanCan cruise coming up, I don't have time togo thru a learning curve for another program.

The guy who used to come to the Wednesday Market was Tailor. He had a stroke and is no longer able to come to the market. I only know that he is still alive and living with relatives.

Bummer. He was a reasonably young man (compared to me at 78.5) and friendly.

Just more reason to enjoy every day.

I could sure use a copy of Office 2016, or even 2013 maybe.

The trick with Open Office is to always save your files in the MS format. That works quite well.

Otherwise, LibreOffice is available for free, and works quite well with most Word/Excel documents. Open Office works too, but I believe that Libre Office is developed more actively.
