Infantil photos….where?

Need infantil potos for INM and do not know what photo place to get them made. I understand they are not the photos for passports that you get at Guadalajara Farmacia. I heard there are several places in Chapala but would like to know where. If any knows, I thank you for the information.

I had mine made in Ajijic. Very professional, quality work. Genesis Digital Photo Studio, Ocampo #34. They are located across the street and a little east from Manix.

They were great five years ago and am glad to hear that they are still there. I used them in Dec 2012 when I requested and then in early 2013 received my Residente Permanente

In Chapala, go on Hidalgo thru the light at Madero 2 blocks (past El Zapote restaurant) and turn left at the next street. Go one block and turn left again. About mid block on the left is a rose colored shop that is the photographer and also sells floral arrangements. She speaks some English and does a good reasonable job.

There is another couple of them in Chapala that I've used in the past. One is on Madera next to the car wash up from the light a couple of blocks and another on the street that runs along the north side of the plaza about a block toward the lake from the plaza. Vague, I know, sorry but you'll see them.

As Flamingo says, they do a reasonable job. I think their camera settings are for darker skin as all the photos I've had taken here make me look washed out.

What about Farmacia Guadalajara?

This is in Melaque and Manzanillo, but last report I heard was that they didn't want 'instant' photos a la Farmacia de Guadalajara. They wanted studio ones.

I hate to point this out but everyone uses digital cameras and printers. Photos take a few hours to dry and a lot of people would leave GF and go straight to IMN and they would still be wet and smear. If you take the pics out of the holder, spread them out overnight, they are all the same.

They ARE all the same! So that's what it was, I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the FG photos. Only difference is FG is a lot cheaper.

I realized it one day when I saw one of the "studio photographers from Chapala" that i had used standing in FG running her pictures though their printer.

Unbelievable.

I thought the same. But hey, that's what they said! Much easier with IFE (now INE) they take a digital picture with their camera and it is put directly onto the card.
