Direct Delux Express Bus to the U.S.
I need the recommendation of a direct overnight bus transportation to San Antonio, Houston or another major city on the border..Is it possible to transport my dog with me in a dog carrier on-board in baggage. The airlines will not accept certain breeds period. Please provide any viable suggestions..I have thought of asking the gentleman who makes border runs if he would be willing to take the dog North..Thoughts.

No dogs on the bus, far as I know. They would be in the baggage hold and it is hot, noisy, and terrifying down there. I do not believe they will take them anyway.
I took the overnight deluxe bus from Guad to AZ a couple of years ago. The 24 hour trip lasted 27 that would be 27 hours in a cage in the bottom of the bus, would your doggie be comfortable with that? Also, there were 9 retenes, nine times we were stopped throughout the night and boarded by just about everyone you can think of. There are military checkpoints where we deboarded were ordered to take all of our possessions out of the bus and from below so they could search. Would your doggie be comfortable with that?
I believe you should hire a driver to take you and your dog to the border. There are many people here who drive and I'm sure you could find one who would accommodate you and your dog.
If you know Rony the chocolate guy in Chapala you might ask him. I know he once hired a taxi to drive him and his dog from DF to GDL, he may know of someone here who might do that for you. Muy buena suerte.

Alex Petersen drove a friend, her belongings and her dog to North Carolina. Call him.

I suggest a bus ride to Guatemala City. Your dog and chickens will be welcome and even treasured.
