Anita's Animals books
When Anita had a stand at the Ajijic tianguis you could buy disks for 50 pesos with all of the latest New York Times best sellers in MOBI or EPUB format. With Anita gone, are those disks no longer available or is someone else selling them now?

Re: Anita's Animals books
I went Wednesday at 1400 to donate some DVDs and no onc was there.
Also, what happened to the "transition team?"
I read an ad in the OJO that said Anita's was closing but nothing about a transition team.
What's the story there?

The transition team came in, created confusion, turmoil, and ill will, then left.
Anita's is in the process of shutting down. Dogs that could be placed in another shelter (I believe in Guadalajara) have been moved. A few are still being cared for there. Cats are still there. As soon as all animals are removed, the facility will be closed down and sold.
It is suggested you call before visiting to be sure someone is available to help you.

Couldn't have said it better myself.Lady Otter Latté wrote:The transition team came in, created confusion, turmoil, and ill will, then left.
They are not taking DVDs anymore. They are finding homes for kitties only. PLEASE if you have room for another kitty (or two) go to Anita's tomorrow and adopt one. Jackie says they also need cat litter. They are OK on food but more litter would be a big help.
Anita's Animals is located on the main road to the Raquet Club on a privada just below the FRAAC. They are open 9 AM to 1 PM Mon thru Sat. Their phone number is 387 761 0500 or (045) 333 400 3327. Call to be sure someone who can approve adoptions will be there.
Their Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/AnitasAnimals/

That's what a lot of people get for volunteering, it's usually newbies who think they can "make a difference" and that their work will "be appreciated". Most, not all, learn the dog eat dog world they entered.
