Need a specialist for intestinal Amoeba in Ajijic Chapala area Empty Need a specialist for intestinal Amoeba in Ajijic Chapala area

Post by Alfredo G Wed Apr 05, 2017 7:16 pm

Hi All,

Can you recommend a specialist for Amoeba infection.  About 3 months ago, I drank infected water while vacationing in Barra De Navidad.  It has been now 3 months (and 3 regiments of Antibiotics),,,,,,and The Amoeba Histolytica,,,,is still with me :(

All I need is a name and number of a person that you can personally recommend.

Thanks,

I think there is only one gastroenterologist around here, and that is Dr. Daniel Breseño at Quality Care. I would go see him.

Did you already try taking grapefruit seed extract? 3 months is an awful infestation of them. I highly recommend Dr. Elizabeth, next door to Superlake for that. I do have personal experience with her and tummy problems.

You can also make estafiate/epazote/ajenjo(Mexican wormwood), tea, works well. It wouldn't hurt to hit it from different angles with a combination of herbs. Don't be afraid to stay on some herbs for awhile, herbs work the best. Those darn things know how to hide in the body. What an awful experience, I know. Hope you get to feeling better soon!

I've only had amoebas once, and I wasn't prescribed antibiotics. The drug most people take here for amoebas is a 2 tablet combo called Veramox.

Do you buy the herbs separately and combine them or is there a tea already made that you buy? Thanks.

I think it is called Vermox and is available at any farmacia. It is the most commonly used treatment for amoebas.

Chapalagringa, After the Antibiotics, I did try the Grapfruit seed extract (Nutribiotics) for 12 days.  It sure helped,,,,I basically have no symptoms now (with the exception of not gaining any weight).  But when I went back for the lab test it showed the Amoeba is still there :(
I will also look into the herbal recommendations as well.  The important thing with this bacteria is to keep your body in good health.  As long as you are not sick with something else,,,it seems to stay "quit", once you get ill with something else, it will come after you and it could be very dangerous.

Thank you everyone for the names and phone numbers,,,,I wanted to get as much info as possible regarding physicians in the area

Alfredo, amoebas are not bacteria. They are living organisms. I believe antibiotics would be contraindicated and perhaps the crux of your ongoing infestation.

Were you prescribed antibiotics for amoebas by a physician?

For amoebae you will want the Vermox Plus (rather than Vermox). Two pills taken at the same time. Available at most farmacias but certainly Farmacia Guadalajara.

That's correct! Very cheap, very effective.

Amoebas are not something to mess around with, you want them gone. As fast as possible. They are living organisms that multiply and some can travel.

You are correct on the identification regarding bacteria and Amoeba. However, I was seen by a physician in Joctepec and prescribed  metronidazole and tinidazole at different dosses over couple of months.  These medications are exactly what is prescribed by CDC and others that I have reviewed on the web.  The problem is these medications are quite ineffective.  In fact new studies have shown they only work 30% of the time!!
paromomycin and iodoquinol  while quite effective can have very dangerous side effects.  I will look up the medication that you mentioned and see what I find.

You never know I may have been misdiagnosed,,,,,

You can find the loose leaf tea(i mentioned the different names of it) in the different places that sell herbs here locally. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. Typically I boil 2 cups of water and then seep 1 tsp for 5 min. I'd have to look it up again to make sure.
Other herbs, i combine, bring water to boil, add herbs, boil 7 min then strain. It never hurts to do a parasite cleanse every few months living down here. My terrain is so messed up, i pretty much take a mix of herbs all year. Pharmaceuticals are no good. They're acidic and putting acid in an already acidic body makes no sense at all.

The amoebas hide so after a 12 day treatment it's good to repeat a week later. I bought tinctures from the states and try to find the main herbs from Dr Morse Herbs.formulas to keep going. If you can get them, they're really good. Parasite M and Parasite G plus a Stomach & Bowel formula and Kidney formula. He gives the herbal formulas away for free. I found out that making the teas is more time consuming but just as effective. He uses soe grapefruit seed extract in Parasite G. He also recommends a fruitarian diet; fruits berries and melons, some greens depending on the case. No cooked food because it's acidic. You don't want to give the parasite/ameobas food. They will love fermented food. Cooked food slows down digestion and elimination. When someone needs to fix their terrain(which most of us do) it's worth it to stick to the fresh produce, high fruit and herbs to get well

Thanks for your comprehensive reply, Chapalagringa. I thought the estafiate/epazote/ajenjo was three different herbs.

You're welcome and I understand. Take a look at the herbal list in Dr. Morse's Parasite G & M tinctures, listed as top being the highest amount in the herbal formula. Using formulas are by far the best but you do what you gotta do.

Black Walnut Hull
*Pau d’Arco Bark
*Parsley Root and Leaf
Wormseed
*Cat’s Claw Bark
Clove Bud
Barberry Root
Tansy Herb
*Fennel Seed
*Cascara Sagrada Bark
*Cape Aloe

Parasite M, I found 2 formulas, Dr. Morse is a master herbalist so he's always playing around with formulas

*Pau d' Arco Bark (Tabebuia impetriginosa)
Black Walnut Hulls (Juglans nigra)
*Echinacea Angustifolia Root (Echinacea angustifolia)
Olive Leaf Extract (Olea europaea)
Usnea Lichen (Usnea spp.)
Lomatium Root (Lomatium dissectum)
Butternut Bark (Juglans cinerea)
*Grapefruit Seed Extract (Citrus paradisi)
SYSTEMIC ACTIONS:
Alterative, analgesic, anodyne, anti-bacterial, antibiotic, anti-diabetic, antidotal, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antineoplastic, anthelmintic, antifungal, antiseptic, antitumor, antiviral, astringent, bitter tonic, blood purifier, carminative, depurative, diaphoretic, digestive, diuretic, fungicide, hypotensive, immunostimulant, mucilant, parasiticide, purgative, sialagogue, stimulant, tuberculostatic, vulnerary.
TRADITIONAL & HISTORICAL USAGE:
Microbial infestations including viruses, bacterium, protozoas, fungi, molds, warts, etc., (specifically, but not limited to: streptococcus, staphylococcus, pneumonococcus, pseudomonas, M.R.S.A., e-coli, herpes, etc.), yeast infections (Candida albicans), hepatitis A, B, and C, pneumonia, whooping cough, food poisoning, dysentery, cholera, typhoid, syphilis, TB, colds, flu, UTI’s (urinary tract infections), ringworm, poison oak, insect bites, wounds, toxic skin conditions (psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, etc.), itching, tonsillitis, bronchitis, gangrene, AIDS, cancer, tumors, abscesses, cysts, infections of all types.

another:

Parasite M

Ingredients

*Pau d’Arco Bark
Black Walnut Hull
*Cat’s Claw Bark
Goldenseal Root
Usnea Lichen
Olive Leave Extract
*Thyme Leaf
Butternut Bark
Barberry Root

Traditional Uses

Microbial infestations including viruses, bacterium, protozoas, fungi, molds, warts, etc., (specifically, but not limited to: streptococcus, staphylococcus, pneumonococcus, pseudomonas, MRSA, E.coli, herpes, etc.), yeast infections (Candida albicans), hepatitis A, B, and C, pneumonia, whooping cough, food poisoning, dysentery, cholera, typhoid, syphilis, TB, colds, flu, UTIs, ringworm, poison oak, insect bites, wounds, toxic skin conditions (psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, etc.), itching, tonsillitis, bronchitis, gangrene, AIDS, cancer, tumors, abscesses, cysts, infections of all types.
Contraindications

Do not use during early pregnancy. It is strongly recommended that the Kidneys & Bladder formula be used with this formula.

The ones I put an ( *) by definitely can find in the different natural and herbal stores. Take a look at what the Dr. Morse Herb formulas cover. Parasite M is an antibiotic and you can stay on it for as long as you need. I took it for a year. Now I've got my supply of herbs on hand. Presently, picked up some chaparro amargo capsules and am taking those and also using some grapefruit seed extract, although not a favorite thing to keep using. Chaparro amargo also has ameobas covered in it's list of things it helps with.

Also activated charcol is another good one to help pull out the toxins and bring some relief especially if your in stomach pain and have diarrhea. Mint/peppermint/camomile is soothing. Talk with Dr. Elizabeth, she's one that has pulled me out of a couple of really bad situations. I just had to learn, it is going to take a while and I know my terrain is broken down enough that I'm constantly going to have to be in tune with how I'm feeling, energy levels etc.

If you happen to pick up some capsules or tinctures here locally, it's ok to take a serving or 2-3 capsules of the the herbs 3 times a day before a meal. Evaluate how you are feeling after a week.

There is a doctor in Jocotepec who diagnoses most everyone with amoeba on the first visit. I think her husband is the pathologist of this clinic. Not sure if she has a license to practice since some problems, but there are ways around that so she can remain doctoring. ( PS: My vet, Ladron, feeds Vermox Plus to everyone in his family twice a year, de acuerdo)

Speaking of labs and diagnosing amoebas....how hard is it to figure out that you've got a parasite when a nasty, evil smelling, odd colored case of diarrhea hits? Duh. Doesn't take much of a lab to confirm it.
Vermox Plus works....sometimes.
Metronidazol works...most of the time
Flagl (awful stuff for two weeks)...always works.
Herbs sound like a better option if they work. Haven't tried that.

After spending most of my life in CA where I never seemed to get these little buggers, I've had them only too often in Mexico. I've learned "defensive eating". Those so-called "triple washed" lettuce packs?
Wash 'em again in Microdyn. So-called "good" restaurants where you bring home the bugs after eating the salad? .....cross 'em off the list.
Avoid carressing the railings at the movie theater and the mall.

Keep fingers and toes crossed or become a recluse.

Kiko, and others,,,,,first off THANKS for your advice and sharing of personal info.
Doctors are no different than, teachers, preachers and policemen.  You have GOOD, Average and UGLY.  They can save your life, ruin it,,,,or just kill your a$$.
I lived in USA for many years and was misdiagnosed with food allergies of ALL TYPES for 25 years.  These doctors all came highly recommended.  After 25 years I came here to Mexico, and the physician in Jocotepec (YES the one Kiko is referring to), diagnosed me correctly and a 10 days of antibiotics cured me of 25 years of “ALLERGIES to Milk, dairy, bread and sugar!!!”
For two years, I have been in “heaven” when it came to food.  I ate and drank whatever the hell I wanted to,,,,until my trip to Barra De Navidad (which I had visited many times before).  It was my own stupidity to drink a glass of water  Beer that DID NOT come out of a bottle, in a restaurant.
Naturally, I went back to the same doctor (YES, that one  Very Happy ) and was diagnosed with Amoeba Histolytica.  Now do I think my doctor is 100% correct?!  Of course NOT,,,,that’s why I came here,,,,,am I going to a Gastroenterologist?  Yes,,, two days from now.   As a added benefit,  I will be getting a colonoscopy as well.  Will I have a video of this procedure?!  Let’s not go there (lol)
Kidding aside ,,,I am actually improving a lot and gaining weight by taking herbal stuff!!!!
Once the results of the procedure are in (within couple of weeks).  I can share the info here.  Let’s hope I don’t have cancer 
