Bidirectional meters for solar power systems
I just got a solar electricity panels from eSun and I am trying to interpret the two cumulative readings on my new MIAL bidirectional meter. Reading type 1.8.0 is 38 kWh (kilowatt hours) and reading 2.8.0 is 7 kWh.
Does this mean CFE has delivered 38 kWh and I have sent back 7 kWh (I hope it is better than that!). Or does it mean vice versa? Or is 7 kWh my net consumption?

Haven't looked at my meter for years but as you say, one is your output to the grid the other is from the grid.
Your CFE bill doesn't help much . Both meter readings, are shown with the same meter number. You'll have to look at the net on your bill or your cumulative (acumulada) hours on the back of the bill.

I just had a second meter installed and it is digital- I am thinking of the installation of a small solar system to assist on this meter. Are all of the new CFE digital meters bi-directional?

No, only the ones where a solar PV system is installed.

So if I understand correctly, I will need to change out the new digital meter I have now for a different model of digital meter that is designed to be bi-directional for a solar installed system.
