FedEx Empty FedEx

Post by Trailrunner Thu Feb 16, 2017 4:28 pm

I have a package to send to the states and decided to shop around. The package is about a foot squared and weighs around 8 oz.

FedEx had 2 rates, the economical rate would be $1773.
Sol y Luna, economical rate was more than $600.
I will take it to Correos tomorrow and it will be around 40 pesos.

The only thing about Correos is that it's sort of "faith based" about its actually getting there.  Something about that carrier pigeon logo just bothers me.
lol!

I've used them for 13 years, never lost anything, it does take awhile tho.
If time is of the essence, I guess one pays the big bux.

My Wisconsin cousins Christmas letter usually gets here by Easter, at least.

My little bit of snail mail takes from 2 weeks to 2 months. Viva Mexico.

I got a Christmas card yesterday. It was early as I usually get it in March or even April.

I use FedEx, the cheaper rate, for letter paks and find it gets there just as quickly in most instances as the higher rate.

I go to the place in Bug Plaza.

YMMV
