Chapala doctor
With Dr. Heredia's passing and Dr. Hernandez moving to a new office, can anyone recommend an English speaking doctor in Chapala? I need to change my B.P. treatment.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Chapala doctor
Dr. Juan Pablo Losa, on the SE corner of Lopez Cotilla & Guerrero.
Othewise, I suggest you go to Quality Care/Medicos Especialistas and get an appointment with Dr. Hector Briseño, cardiologist. Others had tried & failed, but he finally got my BP meds just right and I continue them to this day. Call ahead for the appointment.

I second Dr. Juan if you want to stick within Chapala.

And another for Dr. Juan Pablo. He is the best diagnostician in the area. He's been my GP doc for 7 years.

Re: Chapala doctor
A doctor moves his office 3 miles and he is dumped. Would a ten peso bus ride be too much?

Thanks all for your suggestions.
RichD. I've seen Dr. Hernandez once. No loyalties. Thanks for your input.

Re: Chapala doctor
My husband and I have both just started seeing Dr. JP and we like that he takes a "big picture" look at your health. He considers the entire body when diagnosing something. Although we had specific minor symptoms, he didn't jump to "fix the symptom" without doing tests to determine whether there is a whole body issue causing/contributing to those symptoms.

Yes, that's him. He's very thorough and his record keeping is excellent he recently notified me it was time to update a procedure.

Re: Chapala doctor
The thing I like about Dr Juan is that he gives a shit.
He cares about his patients and he will tell you like it is.
Got him recommended 6 years ago and have stuck with him.
Good guy too.

Re: Chapala doctor
Finding a doctor whom may fit your "NEEDS" according to your standards is often a tricky thing. Before I arrived in Chapala there were certainly a good number of well known physicians whom I had to compete with.
Neither I nor the other doctor (Dr. Claudia Camacho) wanted to move from the building we had our offices at at HIDLAGO 293. But the owner had to put the building on the market for sale for reasons I cannot express.
I realize now with my new patients who have opted to see me in my new location, that the 20-30 minute trip (during high season) made it difficult to choose me as their PCP when "all they needed was to be treated for a common cold".
Moving to my new office has not been without it's difficulties and "growing pains". Training new staff, added administrative responsibilities etc have upset some of those patients whom did choose to make that trip from Chapala to Plaza Interlago. If I or anyone in the CHAPALA MED team has not performed at their best, please let me know.
We are always open to constructive criticism and know that at even our worst critics may be correct in their opinions.
We are opening to learning from our mistakes and we would like to continue to make that "LONG TRIP" from Chapala to Plaza Interlago an investment of your time in your health, well-being and independence.
Thank you for taking the time to read this posting. We wish you the best in health, always.
