Token Store Fund Raiser at La Bodega
We would like to invite you to La Bodega this Friday night.
Javier and Martha who own La Bodega have graciously offered to have a night of great music, good food, and lots of fun at La Bodega with part of the proceeds going to the Token Store. Javier and Martha are such wonderful people and so giving to organizations around Lakeside and we are honored that they have chosen us.
So, come on out Friday night. Music will be provided by Paul Brier on keyboard and keyboard bass, Francis Dryden on drums, and Jimmy Barto on trumpet and flugelhorn. The music starts at 7:30.
For reservations call: 376-766-1002

Re: Token Store Fund Raiser at La Bodega
The Token Store is a project where we "Give a Hand Up, Not a Hand Out"
The people of San Juan Cosala can work in the community or take classes and receive tokens for their efforts. We pay one token for every half hour worked or one token for every hour of class. We have a large group that gathers every Tuesday to clean streets, we have two ladies that work twice a week with Anita's Animals, and other community service projects. The classes are self-improvement classes and are English, cooking, sewing, crafts. We also work with the Feria and their Terracycle program to collect certain recyclable waste and we pay tokens for the bags of waste collected.
We have a store twice a month where they can buy clothes, shoes, household items, toys, etc. and pay for them with the tokens they have earned. We do not accept money.
Please visit our website for more information and some wonderful stories and pictures.
