So? I imagine not much has changed. If so I'm sure someone will chime in.

It is true, we do this alot but also if one parent isnt Mexican we can fight and apply Mexican federal laws to stop schools from harassing kids if they are illegally in Mexico or are in process of getting their documents in order or citizenship.

What is the Dis/advantage in having your US citizen children become a Mx citizen?

No real disadvantages as I see except if in the future they want a high level US government job with security clearances some frown upon those with dual nationality.
