BOLO Jocotepecers
It has come to my attention that there is a possible criminal group operating in Joco and they have forged property deeds of one foreigner, not sure if they have done more. The perpetrators or their confederates drive a late model white Volvo and driver is a bald cholo with tattoos. Do not approach but people most likely have criminal record and in order to purge them if seen would be best to make anonymous call to police about a suspicious vehicle, plates supposedly from Guanajato. Best to nip this in the bud and not have them plant roots in Joco.

Probably anything they want! Mortgages, loans, sale of property...
Know of one case were the "owner" had to buy back their house!

So they forge sale documents from whomever owns it to themselves, get it notarized and registered with the land office, then turn around and sell it? WOW.......considering full ID's etc. are required that is pretty sophisticated.

There have been other land-grabs in Joco, one when I was living there. Muni involved. Ugly. The 'real' people of Joco are the best anywhere, however, there have been others moving in over the last few years.

Re: BOLO Jocotepecers
What do you mean by 'real people' and how do you distinguish them from the 'others'?
The municipio is not staffed by 'real people'?
Kind of vague in identfying who to be careful of.
Maybe just ask.....?Es usted una persona verdadera?
The Municipio of Jocotepec begins just west of La Cristina in Ajijic and includes SJC, Raquet Club, El Cnante, and many other fraccionamientos, so there is a lot to be careful of, that is property registered in "Jocotepec".

We have those in Ajijic too they call them the huizapoles.. The huizaples are the type of grass that have the little round stickers that stick to verything and are tough to get rid off..pretty good name no? I have always heard that the guys in Ajijic have lawyers in Guadalajara who help them.

Do you belong to the fan club for Los Huizapoles, along with my grand daughters?
Or maybe you meant that like lawyers, the weed is hard to get rid of once you come into contact with them/it.

If he is still around he should be "outed".

Well, yes, I guess. Except he really isn't one. Or wasn't one. . . He's not around. And he's not getting outed by me.
