23 Days & Counting
Looking forward to visiting LC for the first time after all the great info i have been reading on here and TOB as well. Even Though we visit PV at our favorite resort for the last few years, i look forward to this new adventure in preparation for our permanent move in Jan!

Re: 23 Days & Counting
If you add just a few more alphabetic acronyms to your posts, they will make no sense whatsoever with no previous point of reference. Most readers of these fora are not conversant with texting and find its use in conversation a great distraction.....especially if their first language is not the same as yours.

These acronyms are all used throughout this site so i guess this post can be added to the list of distractions as well.

Amsoil is good oil but equal oil can be purchased for less. Anybody with Amsoil as a name is a salesman. Welcome to lakeside Amsoil. You picked your name.

Just to provide some clariication, LZ, or Lazaro Cardenas is the major port city of Michoacan and an importaant port for drug inports heading for destinations throughout North America. I prefer rum the best of which comes, in my opinión, from Cuba.
Re: 23 Days & Counting
I think the OP is talking Lake Chapala for LC, not LZ. And anyway locals call Lazaro Cardenas just Lazaro.

Thanks, Mexico Tours. I have never been to "Lazaro" but understand the Mexican as well as U.S. tendency to abbreviate aggravating and lengthy community names. For years I lived in San Francisco, AKA Frisco and San Fran and also Los Angeles or L.A. or "Southland" and now live in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapás or "San Cris". All of those name altering characteristics are nothing compared to Birmingham where I lived in the 1960s which was known in those days of racial discord and racist violence as "Bombingham" and rightly so. Now, that city with a metro population of well over a million people has regained respectability but its past under the regime of Eugene "Bull" Conner was repugnant. Most of us all go through periods of trial we must overcome
Re: 23 Days & Counting
In England we call Birmingham - Brum. There are loads of abreviations here that is for sure. I know some people who get confused by the fact both a man and woman can be Chuy.
Anyway welcome to the area Amsoil. Hope you enjoy your time!

Sorry, MexECO Tours, I failed to comprehend your Word game but I later caught the intended humor. My wife is from Paris where they care not for Brits but Dawg is from Alabama where damn near everybody came from England, West Africa or Viet Nam, some under duress.I must admit that England has Little charm for me and Belgians make superior beer than the desolate island that my ancestors fled in hope of encountering sunshine after years of bone-chilling rain
