Re: 8 Countries Where $200K in Retirement Savings Will Last 30 Years
These articles are hilarious. They show the cheapest country of the eight to live in is Nicaragua at $1181 per month (which alone seems like BS for a decent lifestyle). 30 years is 360 months which means you would need $425,160 overall. So this article is making the assumptions that:
A) Your $200,000 will continually earn a minimum of 5% interest/earnings per annum over the 30 years
B) Nicaragua (or any of the countries in the article) doesn't have any inflation at all for the 30 years
Assuming you want a decent lifestyle, I wouldn't be counting on $200,000 to carry me for 30 years anywhere.

You can live on about the same amount right here in Gringolandia,MX if you're reasonably budget conscious and don't take trips to the U.S.A. every year. Some of the countries named are in a state of chaos at present: Thailand, for instance.

Typical shallow, meaningless click bait article. Worthless.

The subject title is missing two critical words; "In theory," and that applies to Mexico also.
Major World events (9-11 or the nut-case in North Korea actually fires a battlefield nuclear device and the picture for the whole World can change in a millisecond.

If North Korea fired a nuclear devise at South Korea or anyone else I'm afraid, it would be instantly vaporized by South Korea. Like Israel South Korea wouldn't hesitate or waste a second to fire everything and they do have a lot of nukes. And yes the world would change as South Korea would become an island instead of a peninsula and China would be delighted with her new southern border arrangement.
