Licensed nursing homes (March 2016 List)

We had a client with a dispute and she felt something was off with a care facility where her friend was at and had a dispute with them. This place boasted to be the only licensed place lakeside and as it turns out, wasn´t even on the list of registered facilities.

COPRISJAL ( Comisión para la Protección Contra Riesgos Sanitarios del Estado de Jalisco) is the agency who regulates and registers care facilities. After speaking with my client, in March 2016, I made a request under the transparency laws to COPRISJAL asking for the names of all the facilities registered in the Municipality of Chapala (list does not cover Jocotepec).

They responded with the following 6 facilities in the municipality of Chapala:

1) Casa de Descanso el Paraiso on Paseo de la Loma in La Floresta

2) Alicias on Paseo del Lago in La Floresta

3) Asilo on Colinas del Manglar in Colinas del Manglar

4) Alicias on Calle del Lago in La Canacinta

5) Casa de Ancianos de Chapala Alicias on Zaragoza in Chapala

6) Casa de Descanso para Ancianos Desamparados on Santa Margarita in Riberas

I made a request for an updated list and also asked for the registered facilities in Jocotepec and Ixtlahuacan. The response dated August 15, 2016 stated there are no registered facilities in Ixtlahuacan and Joco only has one

Chapala´s list remains the exact same with

Does one have an anglo husband and a Mexican doctor wife? The guy who looked at our AC (here in Mississippi) said he'd just fixed the AC at some people near me who have a nursing home there...he THINKS it was Lake Chapala. Just thought it would be a cool coincidence.

It's obvious who you're talking about.

Obvious?  If it were obvious I wouldn't have asked.  He didn't know what the name was or if it was for sure Lake Chapala.
