Very sad. He was a great talent.

Prince was one of the worlds great guitarist's for sure.

The little dude sure could dance. Loved him.

Wow lost another young one! RIP

TMZ reported that Prince was treated for a drug overdose 6 days prior to his death. There were no private rooms available so he checked himself out against doctors recommendations.

I was afraid this was going to come up. That 'he had the flu' story stunk. I will be interesting to find out the actual cause of death.

Not to diminish that he was a hugely talented and beautiful man.

He took a lot of pain meds because he needed a double hip replacement & he didn't want to have it done because it would require a blood transfusion which was against his Jehovah's Witness religion. I think he also had knee problems.

A good quote from Eric Claption: When he was asked how it felt to be the world's best guitarist he said "I don't know. Ask Prince."

I agree Flamingo, it was beautiful and touching.  Also his later interview with the young lady who was his "muse".
