I have intermittent service and when I do have service, there is a lot of back ground noise.

Check your internet. Move phone and MJ adapter to neighbor house and see if it does it also at that house.
Its easter and lots of folks here adding to our problems.

My internet is working fine but the majic jack connector where the internet and phone line connect, there is a solid green light and a blinking yellow light. Are they both supposed to be green?

I just unplugged it for a few minutes and now I have one green light on. No more blinking yellow and the phone is working.
Do you have only one green light?

I have the Majic Jack plus and have one green and one blue light.

I have green lights on the modem but I have a blue light on the MJ and at the connection end I have one green light on. My neighbor has a solid green and yellow light on. Do you have only one green light or a green and a yellow? We had one go back before so maybe this one has died.

My mj has a solid green light and a blinking yellow light on nd is working fine.

Problem solved!!  The problem ended up with a bad adapter connecting the MJ from electricity to the USB line.  MJ chat line helped me figure out the problem.  Used a different adapter and it works fine ! So if you have a MJ problem, check the adapter first !
