Problems with Yahoo???

Is anyone else having problems with Yahoo mail when using Chrome??? I keep getting a message saying "having trouble loading mail, please try again"....nothing but repeat of the same message. I reload Chrome - still the same message!

Use Firefox?

You can get the same problems in Firefox. Yahoo is having severe financial problems and appears to be reducing services including access to mail.

I have yahoo email. No problems. Certainly no reduction in services. Financial problems would not yet be trickling down to nitpicking email services.
By the way, yahoo has been having financial problems for at least the past five years that I know of.

Maybe be sure you have the most current Chrome. I use Firefox + Yahoo Mail and am having no current problems. But I have had similar issues in the past.

Every single friend of mine who, over the years, has had their email hacked or got fished had it happen through Yahoo email! I believe there is a message there somewhere. . . Most of them changed their passwords and continued with Yahoo - for reasons that are beyond me. Many have been hacked several times.

Like LOL, I've heard that same Yahoo song and dance about finances for the past few years!

I use Hotmail. Never hacked, never fished, no problems.

Thx to all for your suggestions...Will check to see if it is the most current version of Chrome...otherwise, will have to try one of the other suggestions. We've had our email address for about 20 yrs and hate to have to change it with everyone!

Street talk is Yahoo will split with the only profitable part going one way and all the other stuff like Yahoo mail and groups going another way. Yahoo is not going to get better folks.

I am with you, Willie. I have had Yahoo for about 15 years. I set up a gmail account just in case but hate the thought of changing EVERYTHING.

I did finally find a way to get in for a live chat with Yahoo.....the support person thought they could run a diagnostic and get it fixed but after about 10 minutes, I was told that the engineers were aware of this situation and were working on it but had no idea of when it would be fixed. They said my email address would be added to the list for attention...arrghhh!!!
At least I know it's not our equipment or my mind......

Yep. Got what I paid for. Just switched to Gmail.

You're paying the same thing for Gmail though.

To answer the OP's question: I just tried Yahoo Mail with Chrome browser and had no problems at all.

The not-so-good news is that I then used Gmail to pull up the daily digest of one of the Yahoo groups that I subscribe to. I found a big red banner across the top advising me that I may be looking at an illegitimate message.

What is it you like about Gmail, Zed? I tried it and all I remember is that it was annoying. That probably is because I was unfamiliar with it but it made me run back to Yahoo, the devil I know.

I find Gmail annoying too! I don't know what it is, but I tried to like it too but went back to hotmail.

Any new Mailer is a pain in the butt I get that. No one wants to change Mailers or Email Addresses I get that.  I use to support a public computer and probably half of all trouble was with Yahoo amoung mailers. This is nothing new. Gmail or Hotmail are better products than Yahoo stuff. Yahoo groups is still pretty useful but that's about it.  Yahoo mail just has too many problems.  Ask yourself this. Is it going to get better??
