Somewhere on the Costalegre
This morning we were invited to visit a spectacular property on a cliff high above the Pacific on the Jalisco coast. We were asked (told) for security reasons, that no pictures of the grounds or dwelling be taken, in fact I didn't even take my camera. I basically begged for permission to take shots of the view. These were shot with my cel phone.

Oh how beautiful. If only we had views like that along our Lake Chapala waterfront.

I wish! It belongs to a 1%er and they are very concerned with security. The owner was absent. A friend of a friend is a contractor repairing hurricane damage.

Re: Somewhere on the Costalegre
My guess is Careyes but from angles I don't remember. Slight chance it's Tamarindo but the islands offshore are just rock with no vegetation
Re: Somewhere on the Costalegre
Yup, there are some rocks around Careyes that are similar, and the Brignone and Goldsmith families, along with the other high rollers that roost there, are definitely 1%ers. (more like 1% of 1%).
No comment Clete....just speculating.

Re: Somewhere on the Costalegre
I think it must be some kind of aerial as I don't remember any steep rises behind any of the big luxury seacliff homes in and around Careyes, where such a shot could be taken.
I don 't remember if it was Sol de Oriente, or the other one, that was Gianfranco's personal residence. Patino, the Bolivian tin magnate, was the one that helped him and Rothschild find this location.

I don't personally know any Rothschild, except by reputation and the knowledge he started the Club Med at Careyes.
Why do you ask? I would ask which Rothschild(s), do you know but it wouldn't make any difference as I don't know one from the other, but go ahead and tell us anyway.
