Notice from Chapala American Legion

We have been asked by the Chapala Municipality President and Legal representative to invite the foreign community to a special presentation in Chapala.

Tomorrow, Jalisco Governor, Aristóteles Sandoval will make a public presentation in Chapala at the Fisherman's fountain on the malecon at 1PM. .

A strong showing by the foreign community will be a visual reminder to the governor of the unique population living at lakeside. A strong showing will allow the current local government to be able to ask for support appropriate to our community.

We realize this is very short notice. Please do what you can to adjust your schedules so that the foreign community is well represented at this event. We appreciate your cooperation in this important effort.

So that explains why a big crew of city workers were installing a new fishing net at the fountain today. The new net is made of something similar to chain-link fencing in order to give it more permanence. Looks like hell...but I love it anyway.

Canadians wear maple leafs if you can.
