The most vile excuse for a sandwitch I have had in Mexico.
Yes, and I was stupid enough to eat it and leave a 15% tip.
Lunch with my attorney. I ordered a BLT. $70.00
It came not on toast but wheat bread that was so soaked in something I couldn't pick it up since it fell apart. I ait it with a knife and fork.
Two tiny ends of a tomato, one slice of very, very under-cooked bacon and one leaf of wilted lettuce.
Next time I walk past there, I will see if the manager speaks English and will express my feelings.
The restaurant is PARIS in Chapala.

Few good food choices in Chapala / Ajijic, especially Chapala. The place near me across from Notary 5 last time charged 70 pesos for a sandwich that measured 3 inches by 3 inches, no kidding. Many places open and do well and then skimp and then have no business and dont get it.

Maybe it was a bad day for the "cook."
I might try again with a torta.

As said, I have seen many restaurants open and then quickly close. Usually it's due, IMO, to either or both of high prices for what you get, or poor food/service.
For GREAT (IMO) food at a very good price, try the burrito place on the second floor of Bug Plaza in Ajijic (where the cinema is).
Their really large burrito is good for at least two meals.

Knowing what a reviewer considers good food really helps evaluate the possible benefit of his review.

That's just naughty, Lady O.
He could always go downstairs at the back and have some good, healthy food at Chopsticks; but then, they charge a bit more and you'd need to buy two portions.

The best BLT lakeside IMHO is at El Rincón de Frida in Jocotepec !! Outstanding taste and value...

If you're talking about Hot Rod Burrito I would have to agree, better than the famous Burritos de Moyahua.Clueless wrote:

No doubt, the owners lived for a long time in the Kansas City area......good people. Their food is a good value for the money.

I go to Coffee Hour, in Chapala when I want a sandwich. They have a good club. I was introduced to the place by a Mexican friend who loves one of their grilled chicken sandwiches and papas. Pretty consistent. Sometimes.... I just don't feel like Mexican food.... and there is always subway!
