I feel really bad for these guys and families. It looks like the van they were traveling in may have been located. The odds of them being found unharmed not looking good.

Re: Two Australian Surfers missing in Mexico
I haven't seen the news this morning yet, but there is a theory on FB that since the guys constructed a "kitchen" in the van perhaps something went wrong with it and the gas exploded causing what was found.
Either way, sad story.

Re: Two Australian Surfers missing in Mexico
Here is the latest news I could find:
http://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/2015/11/30/search-2-australians-missing-mexico
Hopefully they have the forensic ability in Mexico to determine exactly how they died. Allowing the Mexican government to hang their hats on an "exploding kitchen" theory seems too convenient.

There was a murder in the same area of a merchant as well ..same road..I thought it was an article speaking about the two but it was about a man who had been shot..a coincidence I guess but it does not sound like a safe area..Hopefully the expaerts will do a decent job at finding out what happened to these 2 guys.

Yes, it would be convenient wouldn't it. I thought the same thing. Hope there is enough pressure to make the gob do the right thing.

Sounds like a real investigation might take place.

It sounds like they need to send the military into that area to pay some "special attention" to the local dirt bags.
Re: Two Australian Surfers missing in Mexico
like el chapo? Tey have not been very successful so far so it is better not to go out camping or hanging out in that area. Apparently there were 72 murders in that area around the time the two were killed or blew themselves up..Not a good area for locals or tourists by the look of it. Lots of dirt bags and not enough police or army to put them away.

Re: Two Australian Surfers missing in Mexico
The news video didn't show any obvious bullet holes in the van that I could make out. It showed some objects that might be spent cartridge cases in it or around it but the view didn't allow a judgment of their size. Could have been some type of canisters.

No theft of the vehicle and some other belongings makes it a strange case and the burning of the vehicle and occupants, as well. Hopefully, forensic can figure it out.
If a crime, it looks more like revenge or a "message".
