Republican debate
Does anyone know if Shaw satellite carries the Fox Business News channel and what number it is, in case I'm feeling masochistic tonight?

Re: Republican debate
They have Fox News (154) but I don't think business news.
They also have:
Bloombergs - 153
BNN - 143
CNBC - 142

Re: Republican debate
No Shaw Direct doesn't have Fox Business news only Fox News. US DirecTV does carry Fox business news on channel 359 and Fox news on Channel 360.
I understand that the debate is on Fox Business news or channel 359.
US Dish also carries Fox business news, but I don't remember what channel or if it is on the more popular satellite that most Dish users point their satellite dishes at

Slainte, I find that reading the articles about it and watching clips the next day gives me enough pain and elevates my blood pressure more than enough. Could not possibly watch the whole thing I real time.

Sound advice Dr. LOL, but I didn't want to miss a duel (a la Burr/Hamilton), in case Bush/Rubio brought their pistols.

Well, my husband is watching on the computer as I am writing this. I think he will either have a stroke, or a melt-down, or something, before it is over. Me, I would not give those clowns a minute of my time, bad enough having to look at the daily headlines.
I did enjoy Andy Borowitz reporting on Ben Carson's most important to do thing, once he is in office: Finding Atlantis and its treasures.

I confess I lazily clicked through my Telecable Basico channels as well, just to see the choques de trenes.
But alas, there was no circus on my TV tonight. Oh well.

Re: Republican debate
I was pleased to see that most of the candidates want to hold the US minimum wage where it is. I was surprised that they didn't propose lowering it, as $7.00 USD per hour for businesses paying that amount is detrimental to executives receiving salary increases and bonuses, owner's profits being reduced, and shareholders receiving less in dividends.
They held their ground for the beleaguered socialist underclass and stood up to the pressure by the capitalists who fund their campaigns, not to mention all the jobs that will be lost and/or not created under the present minimum.
What a bunch of heroes.

Abe Lincoln would roll over in his grave if he saw these clowns. The debate should be called the Neo-Conservative Debate. Republicans in the traditional sense they are not.

Re: Republican debate
I kinda miss stevie the weatherman who used to post here. He rabidly defended the extreme right wing perspectives.....even if most of us saw how nutty those were. Remember his rants against "liberal" posts against Palin and Limbaugh?
I guess even he has given up on this current crop of wingnuts....

The Mexicans say it best, with each election, the only thing that changes are the colors....
So in the US Red to Blue or Blue to Red, the middle class remains in the squeeze.

Re: Republican debate
I get a big kick out of Ted Cruz and his Dad. His Dad slipped into the US on false papers after paying a bribe to Cuban authorities. But that's ok., the Cruz family did not do anything wrong, it was the Cuban govt who did wrong. Ted Cruz, the most popular elected official in Texas, ....
