Refers to snowbirds and savings made in withholding certain benefits... doesn't specify what benefits.
Although the story suggests otherwise, Revenue Canada, Unemployment Insurance, & Canada Border Agency have been sharing Info for years.
This story is not very informative...

Only benefit I received was a visit to a doctor to renew a prescription.... but my taxes, insurances, utilities go on & on...
just like The Energizer Bunny...

That's nothing new, except maybe for expanded verifications and range of benefits being cut. Lots of people have had their unemployment insurance benefits cut after going on vacation.
