My favorite quote from a DEA agent about previous attempts to capture El Chapo was "isn't there a word in Spanish for (surround)"?

I would imagine that El Chapo/Guzman would have a whole lot to say about a whole lot of shit that a whole lot of people don't want exposed. I'm talking Mexican people. He'll be running and hiding for the rest of his natural life unless the Yanks REALLY (Panama) want to yank him out of whatever rabbit hole he's in. Northwest Mexico has mucho rabbit holes. I think it's about the size of France/Texas. Staying tuned.

I don't think the Marines or anybody in top echelon government let him slip out.

yes but we got stop 2 weeks ago in Pueblo Nuevo in Chiapas where the army was doing a house to house search of the town to find 2 narcos the villagers were protecting and they eventually got them. If they really wanted to get him they would.

Good question.

It was actually his henchmen that were trying to apply for the permits. It was the only way to get the monkey on an airplane. Pablo Escobar did some very similar (and stupid) things. Some of Pablo's escaped hippos have bred, now numbering in the twenties, and are causing some grief in Columbia.

Well I suspect those henchmen are in for a good tongue lashing,I mean seriously,the guy moves tons drugs to the US,has hundreds if not thousands of people killed and his henchmen get a permit to fly a pet monkey??

It must be true, as you couldn't make up a story like that, and they do have access to some pretty good stuff (to help in decision making).

I guess they wanted to fly under the radar but they sure blew that one, I guess following the law does not pay in Mexico .

"Mexico News Daily" says he's trying to transit Argentina/Chile. Smoke and Mirrors ? Weird. He's not going back to jail at his age. I say he's still in NW Mexico and will hunker down and tough it out. I don't see him going anywhere without his girls. Crazy - yes, but Mexican.
