Bring your pet to lunch
Would there be sufficient interest in having a "bring you pet to lunch" event.
Proceeds would go to a local animal shelter.
Would it work?

Re: Bring your pet to lunch
If you let me go to lunch without my dog I will make a donation to an animal charity. I promise.

How about suggestions for caterers or do you have someone in mind?
Roberto's does quite a bit of catering, as does Panino's and Manix.

Marco at El Rey in Chapala does catering too and is great to work with.

Re: Bring your pet to lunch
I went up to the Hotel Perico on the Libramiento and spoke to Tom and Jan. It's a lovely property with lots of grass to walk the dogs, large shade trees and an outside kitchen on the covered patio by the pool. They would be happy to have a doggie event on a Tues., Wed. or Thursday.
Instead of a caterer, what about having a potluck and BYOB affair. This would put more money into the donation box and it always results in a large variety of delicious dishes. Most times better than catered food.
This would be a good time to make new friends and to party with old ones.
So all of you who would like to attend a lunch with your pet for a good cause with like minded people, please answer with a count so we can go on from here with the planning. A PARTY 4 PAWS.

Re: Bring your pet to lunch
Here is some more information, we already have an outdoor location, plenty of grass for the pets to run around in, the meal is already planned. we just need to know if there is sufficient interest to have this event.
If you don't have a pet you are certainly welcomed to come, the event would take place the first week of October. We don't want to interfere with the world series.

Why didn't you say so. It would have saved me a lot of time and trouble.

Which charities would benefit?

Some local animal charities need funds more than others. I imagine it would depend on the recipients as to whether some people attended. Any idea of who this would be benefiting?

What about spreading the joy among all of them, and that would cover potential attendees' favorites?

Maybe the people who feel their attendance depends upon the recipient can private message you with their request. Some might even offer helpful suggestions and a lending hand to ensure the success of your event.
