The first place listed on this page is a hay and feed store in Chapala:

Here's what the web page says now -- I edited it to give better directions:
"A feed store in Chapala, just off Pepe Guizar (the road out of town towards the rancho), on the north side of Zaragoza - in the opposite direction from the corner of Pepe Guizar which has the new Pharmacia Guadalajara on it. Zaragoza is one-way at that point so you can't turn on to it from Pepe Guizar to get to this feed store. You can either park at the Pharmacia Guadalajara and walk a couple of blocks west to get to it, or swing around the streets to be able to proceed back east on Zaragoza.
They have some tack and supplies as well as feed – halters, girths, big salt blocks, oats, wheat, grain ("grano").
Sample prices (July 2008):
· 85 pesos for a bale of alfalfa hay, 60 pesos for regular hay (note that March and April are good months for buying and stock-piling hay)
· 180 – 205 pesos for a 40 kilogram bag of grain (Pellets?)
· 60 pesos for a 40 kilogram bag of oats"
