Any birders out there?
I have a bird in my garden that I can't identify - and my US bird book doesn't have it. Size of an Oriole or Tanager, pale yellow belly, white throat and head with wide black stripes through eyes and one black stripe down top of head, olive-brown back, deeply notched tail. I thought it might be some kind of Oriole but can't find anything to match. Loud, harsh call. Help please!

I would suggest you google "birds of Mexico" and try to find it that way

Found it
Thanks for the advice. I found it! It's called a SOCIAL FLYCATCHER! (Myiozetetes similis). Now I can really check it out.

Handsome fellow
Of course I am referring to both our humble administrator AND the Social Flycatcher! Great photo. Thanks for both the info and the pic.

Big Brother
Turns out the Social Flycatcher has a bigger brother, the Great Kiskadee. It's the big brother who is living at my place - although I think I have caught sight of the little one too.
