New desktop (English) available?
Is it possible to get a desktop with English software anywhere Lakeside or in Guadalajara?

Yes. Call a Guy named Mateo Adame. He has a shop in Ajijic. Very good prices and service. We've dealt with him a couple of times. His number is 331-091-7153. Speaks very good English.

I have friends looking for an English keyboard for their laptop. One of them spilled coffe with cream and sugar on it and now they have to peck at their screen one letter at a time to send e-mails Any ideas? Thanks, Zoey

If you contact Mateo, Please mention my name (Lee Rafferty). I won't get any points out of it, but he's a friend and at least he'll know I'm watching out for him. Nothing against martygraw, but i think you would get a better deal from Mateo. Check both places.

We've been looking for an English keyboard for quite a while. No luck down here. My wife is going on vacation (from me) to the U.S. the end of May. I told her to pick up 2 of them while she's there. The Spanish keyboards are usable, if you move one key to the right, but she still hasn't found the apostrophe.

Wait, wouldn't the desktop I get from either of the mentioned places have English keyboard? Or should I bring one with me?

If Rod has English key boards, it's the only place I know of that you'll find one. We've been trying to find one for 6 months. Never thought to try there. Thanks martygraw.

Lobo, post if you get one there & if he's out of them, I'll get one here. If he doesn't I can bring one for you, too.

Re: New desktop (English) available?
I'll call him tomorrow and get a quote on a wireless and a plug-in, then post it. No need to worry about picking one up for me. My wife is going to California next month. We'll call our daughter and ask her to check prices there. If they're cheaper, Roseanna will pick up a couple of them while she's there. Thanks for the offer.
Re: New desktop (English) available?
This is the response I got from Rod at Lagunanet. "I have English keyboards both PS2 and USB and they are 250.00 pesos ($20.45 USD). The only thing I have in wireless is a logitech keyboard/mouse combo for $99.00 U.S.D".Carry Bean wrote:Lobo, post if you get one there & if he's out of them, I'll get one here. If you want a wireless, I think you could get a better price in the U.S.
Re: New desktop (English) available?
I don't care about a wireless & that's probably about what I'd pay here anyway (Virgin Islands.)
